The vagus nerve is a little known but powerful nerve in the body that has a profound affect on stress & anxiety levels.
In this workshop with Exercise Physiologist, Russell Young, you will learn 5 simple tools you can incorporate into daily life to manage your fight or flight response even when life feels busy.
We will practice the art & science of yoga postures, breathwork, pressure points & fasting techniques in relation to the vagus nerve.
You can expect to leave feeling calm, centred & empowered to manage your busy life in a positive way.
In this workshop, Sofia and Glenn will transform your state of mind into a gentler and more peaceful existence. You can expect to practice conscious breathing (Pranayama) and physical postures (Asana) while Glenn plays the Chakra Crystal Singing Bowls in conjunction with Asana positions - a cleansing and harmonising experience for all.
A skillful hands-on adjustment in a yoga class can be transformational and life changing for your students. At the same time, an inadequate adjustment is more detrimental than no adjustment at all. Learn how to give masterful hands-on assists that are both educational and empowering for your students and discover the art of service and attention through refining and practicing your therapeutic touch under Amy’s watchful eye.
This workshop is designed to provide you with skills in a wide variety of manual assists in order to add depth and sophistication to your teachings. Come explore adjustments for a full spectrum of poses in a delicious exchange of loving hands that will radically expand your teaching repertoire.
In this subtle and powerful evening, dive into both active and restorative poses that specifically help you open your breathing and pranayama (breathing) practice. Experience the peace and euphoria that comes from bringing more mobility to the primary and accessory muscles of your respiratory system. Class will conclude with classic pranayama practice, said to be the gateway to meditation. Perfect whether you've been wanting to establish a pranayama practice or you simply want to hit the pause button, recharge, and renew.
The Psoas muscle is a big deal in yoga - it connects your legs to your spine! A portal to deep flexibility, power, and grace in your practice, this is one muscle you’ll want to get to know well in order to sustain a long term practice and gain more freedom in your body as you age. After an enthusiastic anatomical overview of the psoas, Amy will help you align your psoas effectively in a variety of her favorite psoas-opening poses. You will walk away feeling taller, lighter, stronger and feel like anything is possible.
Breathe new life into your lower body with a delicious spectrum of hamstring, hip, and lower back poses modified for therapeutic relief and benefit. Perfect if you want more freedom and ease in your lower body so you can shine more brightly. Walk away feeling free, uplifted, and ready to be unstoppable!
We often over rely on force in Inversions and arm balances rather than using architectural smarts and proper specific warm up to get into them smoothly. Learn to approach these poses with ease, grace, and power. You will learn tricks to kick up to the wall, balance without the wall, open your shoulders, boost your confidence to get air borne, and connect to your playful spirit. By exploring the science and psychology of arm-balances and inversions you will get past the mind blocks that stop you and instead equip you for any challenge life brings in the future.
Yoga Nidra is an immensely powerful meditation technique and is one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain.
This gentle practice is accessible to beginners and experienced yogis alike and focuses on multiple levels of well being.
In this workshop we will explore the activities of the mind from a Yogic perspective, observe our own individual relationships with thoughts, and learn techniques to master control of the thinking mind.

The course will be interactive with lots of hands on experiments to keep you moving while you are learning. This is an evidence based course, but many tangents are drawn between research and the yoga practice.
