JOB POSITION

YOGA STUDIO ADMIN & MARKETING MANAGER

HOURS:

25-38 HRS PER WEEK

MAIN DUTIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE / ADMIN MANAGER / MARKETING 

Applications are open for an exceptional individual to join our close-knit studio management team in the role of customer service, admin & marketing manager.

As the face of Younga Yoga customer support - this is a multi-faceted role, most suited to a highly motivated individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with skills across 3 key areas of administration, customer service (including sales) and marketing. 

BACKGROUND:

We have been super lucky to have amazing studio managers in recent years (Alexis, Caiti, Jack) that have given their all to this role and had the smarts to match. 

Our current manager Jack has been with us for the past 18 months and over that time he has completed his MBA, and literally helped us implement about 100 new systems in Covid for which we will forever be grateful! We have loved and appreciated Jack as part of the team and wish him well as he moves on in his career.

With the chaos of Covid behind us - we are looking for a fresh face with an eye for detail to help care for our amazing members, and help lead the studio confidently into a new phase of growth.

The Role:
Position: 25-38 hours per week (negotiable)
Pay: Negotiable
Start: Immediate start (or as soon as possible)
Availability: Mon - Fri (approx 11am-6pm negotiable)

Studio Background:

Younga Yoga Studio was established by Deb & Russ Young as Wollongong's first dedicated yoga studio 15 years ago. We offer daily yoga classes in person and via live stream, as well as appointment-based Exercise Physiology.

Our mission is to help people feel fit & balanced in their body, connected in their mind and inspired to live a positive life.

Since opening in 2006, we have grown to a team of approximately 8 with classes 7 days a week. 
 
We are looking for a dynamic, bright & highly motivated person to confidently lead the day-to-day admin, customer service & marketing operations at Younga Yoga, someone who is committed, passionate & believes in our business as much as we do.

As the face of customer service at the studio, the successful applicant will have excellent communication skills (email/phone), the ability to juggle the day-to-day runnings of the studio which includes data entry, membership management, sales, and marketing. 

The successful applicant will be the key touchpoint for all our customers and staff, yet have the ability to engage with and discuss key business decisions with the owners.
 
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications (in marketing/communications or business) and/or a minimum of 3 years experience across a combination of the following key areas:

Key Area: Part A - Administration

Example Tasks Include
Answering inquiries & managing email
Processing enrolments
Creating documents & spreadsheets
Manage + track attendance & memberships
Manage + track sales using Mind Body Online software
Basic invoicing, banking, payroll
Client management (memberships, passes, data entry)
Studio open & close set up
Management of CRM mailing lists
Daily site audit - cleanliness and safety
Help maintain studio appearance

Key Area: Part B - Memberships & Sales

Example Tasks Include
Communicate with new & existing clients via phone & email 
Manage memberships
Manage course, program & events
Analyse membership trends

Key Area: Part C - Marketing & Communications

Example Tasks Include
Curate & manage social media content
Use principles of marketing across written & digital formats
Create & send digital newsletters
Update website using Squarespace
Create communications that are 'on-brand'
Plan & market classes, events, workshops & trainings

Key Area: Part D - Staff & Events

Example Tasks Include
Communicate with staff on scheduling issues
Staff induction for basic studio processes
Liaise with teachers and staff for workshops

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated prior experience in a similar administrative role (Part A)
• Demonstrated proficiency with data entry & analysis, email management & CRM (Part A)
• Demonstrated understanding of frontline customer service principles (Part B)
• Demonstrated knowledge & experience of marketing principles & practices (Part C)
• Excellent team-work skills (Part D) 

Desirable:

•Eagerness to help Younga Yoga Studio refine Standard Operating Procedures
• Experience using Canva
• Willingness to undergo monthly training in marketing and business development
• Ability to manage and improve on administrative & business processes

• Uses initiative to solve administration problems & learn new processes & procedures
• High level of attention to detail
• Communicate confidently under a range of circumstances
• Demonstrated commitment to health & wellbeing in a yoga or fitness context
